Enter the competition: Quantpedia Awards 2024 Await You

Two weeks ago, we promised you a surprise and now it’s finally time to reveal what we prepared for you :).
Us Quantpedia Awards 2024 aims to be the premier competition for all quantitative trading researchers. If you have an idea in your mind about systematic/quantitative trading or investment strategy and want to gain visibility in the professional scene, submit your research paper and you can compete for an attractive list of prizes. All information about the awards, submission process, panel of experts and our partners are detailed on our dedicated sub-page: Quantpedia Awards 2024. But we’ll also give you a quick overview in this blog post.
First, what most people are interested in are the prizes 🙂 Rewards are being prepared for the top 5 researchers/posts, the total prize is over $15,000 and the full list is on the above mentioned special sub page. But I will put here a little teaser and show you a list of the prizes that await the author of the best research paper.
Secondly – how can you enter a competition? Entrants must email awards@quantpedia.com with a name and link to their research paper before April 30, 2024, 23:59 UTC time. Note, however, that eligible papers must be publicly available (without access charge) this year and published between January 1, 2024 and April 30, 2024 in a reputable open access research directory such as SSRN.com, Arxiv.org, or similar.
And finally – what will the evaluation process be like? The whole process has two stages. In the first stage, all registered papers will go through an evaluation similar to Quantpedia’s standard selection process, in which Quantpedia’s research team will scrutinize the papers based on applicability and overall soundness of the strategy. We will check how well the strategy is explained (we will automatically remove black boxes) and whether it has clearly stated return & risk characteristics. The Quantpedia team will then select 10 best-of-breed papers based on innovation, impact and a no-nonsense approach to pushing the limits of quantitative analysis. In the second stage, these 10 papers will be submitted to our broad expert panel consisting of investment professionals and academics, and each panel member will rank the papers based on their subjective opinion, originality and overall quality of the paper. The final ranking of each research paper will be calculated as the weighted ranking of all members of our evaluation committee.
Winners will be announced on the Quantpedia website and on our social media channels in the 2nd half of May 2024. The exact announcement date will be published in early May after all research papers have been submitted.
