Deepwater Asset Management’s CEO Gene Munster has made a bold prediction for of Apple Inc AAPL ascending World Developers Conference.
What happened: On Tuesday, Apple announced its annual developer conference, WWDC 2024will be held from June 10 to June 14 this year.
The conference will be streamed live on Apple’s website. However, the tech giant has extended invitations to select software developers to attend a celebratory event in person on the first day.
After this announcement, Munster got to Xearlier Twitter, and said he believes this event will mark the start of Apple’s genetic AI strategy. “$AAPL just released their invitation for WWDC, starting June 10. Although the press release made no mention of the topic, the event will likely be Apple’s AI launch party,” Munster said.
Munster expects Apple’s CEO Tim Cook won’t delve into artificial intelligence during the company’s March quarter report. Instead, it will direct investors to WWDC. He said the event could feature Apple’s most significant announcement since 2007, focusing on the evolution of its operating systems.
The Deepwater manager also predicted that Cupertino will follow in his footsteps Microsoft Company and Alphabet Inc.’s Google by integrating genetic artificial intelligence into the operating system interface.

He also expects Apple to incorporate genetic artificial intelligence iOS, macOSapplications and Siri and make additional AI announcements for developers, including access to foundational models.
“Apple’s AI announcements this year will follow announcements made by Google and Microsoft in May 2023 about integrating artificial intelligence into product interfaces,” Munster said.
He also predicted, “I expect genetic AI to be added to iMessage, Mail, Calendar, Notes, Pages, and Numbers,” adding, “As for Siri, I’m optimistic that she will announce an AI-powered version that will be available. sometime in 2024. Currently, while Siri uses some artificial intelligence for recommendations, it lacks a creative chat experience that launched GPT Chat into our lives.”

Because it matters: Earlier this month, it was reported that Apple was in talks with Google to license AI Gemini models for future iPhones. Munster previously commented on the report, stating that this deal could position Apple as a leader in personalized artificial intelligence.
Last month, it was reported that the Cupertino, California-based tech giant had stopped its pursuit Apple Car and discontinued the electric vehicle (EV) development initiative known as Titan. According to sources, Apple plans to redirect several staff members from EV development to the AI production division.
