DIY Gear Reviews is conducting a study on home affordability using the HGTV show House Hunters as a data source. The study requires a person to watch a season of House Hunters and record specific details such as the final purchase prices of the homes, their locations and the buyers’ job titles.
This information will be analyzed to assess the affordability of the homes featured in each episode. The goal is to determine whether the home purchase prices shown on the show are realistic benchmarks for prospective homebuyers planning their budgets.

The details
The selected candidate will have to watch House Hunters season 244 on FuboTV which consists of 13 episodes. The task involves documenting the following information for each episode:
- Search home city and state
- Names of prospective home buyers
- Job Titles of Home Buyers
- Final purchase details including:
- Total purchase price
- Number of bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage (when available)
- Funding details, if discussed, such as:
- Amount of deposit
- Type of mortgage
- A short summary (1-2 paragraphs) for each episode, covering:
- The type of home you are looking for (fixture upper, architectural style, key features)
- Additional information about buyers’ preferences or personal background (eg family size)
The entire work must be completed within three weeks of the start of the project.

Compensation
The selected candidate will receive $1,000 upon completion of the project and $75 to cover the cost of a FuboTV subscription.
Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to applicants who reside in the US and are 18 years of age or older. Participants must use their own streaming device, such as a smartphone or computer, to view episodes.

- 30 minutes watching, 15 minutes documenting: $102.56 an hour
