Last week I went to lunch with some friends from school, usually one of us treats the others and we take it in turns to pay the bill. But this time we decided to go Dutch. Times were tough and neither of us felt inclined to drop a few hundred pounds in one sitting. All but one of us, and she is a nurse, something was wrong: Or was, as we later discovered.

It turned out that *Jenny was selling pictures of her feet on the Internet. Taking a nickname that has built up quite a following, fed up with the huge cost of living at the moment, I was intrigued enough to give it a go. Jenny shared with me her top tips for getting rich from walking photos.

1. Create a profile on Fun With Feet

These profiles take a few minutes. Jenny’s big tip was to study the best sellers and see what sells. Also to establish your brand. If you want to create a niche (muddy feet video for example) then you start here.

Profile tips

1. Prepare your feet.

This may sound obvious, but it makes your legs look cute. If you’re going with heels and peeps – then make them look better. “I recommend a good pumice stone and a cute nail polish – red always works, as does a French manicure,” says Jenny.

2. Check the Contest.

Research, research research! “I did a really deep dive into the profiles that seemed to be making a lot of money and compared them to the ones that were average and the ones that barely ranked.” If you do this, you can edit a design. Either emulate the big earners (although they’ll often have cornered their market’) or work on your own USP. ‘I have a slightly Celtic second toe and I’ve found it appeals to a certain clientele.’

What type of foot are you?

3. Create an online presence.

As with any social media (or even media), it’s no use being brilliant if people can’t see your work. On Insta, low engagement is a pain, but on Fun with Feet it will literally be make or break. Interact with people, get to know your subscribers’ likes and dislikes. Always be safe, but put yourself out there a little.

4. Set your pricing.

This is difficult when you are starting out as you don’t have the subscribers to guarantee the highest payout. Give people a good offer, hook them, and then start getting the bigger pay packages. Show your subscribers that you’re worth their money.

5. Select Secure Payment Methods.

Do your homework on this and absolutely stick to recommended payment platforms. If someone offers immediate payment to avoid commission, REFUSE! It could be a stolen card and you could end up paying it back – so always make sure you’re protected against payment.

6. Take high quality photos.

This may sound obvious, but so many people try to submit a bad phone photo and then wonder why it doesn’t work. Like all social media, it needs to feel curated and branded. If your foot brand is expensive then the photos have to look it to justify the payment. Not just the camera (because let’s face it, most phones have amazing cameras these days), but the style of the shot and the way it’s lit. All of these should be associated with your brand.

7. Be anonymous and create safe boundaries.

This is so important. People will try to meet with you, people will ask for your personal information. You are selling a product and not yourself! Always remember this.

2. Post your feet photos

Jenny recommends doing ‘theme collections’ – she said she soon started to see which was the most popular, but playing on the pitch put her net first. Her categories were: High heels, high heels with bare feet, washing feet (with foam), dirty feet, tired feet, and just plain sexy feet. For the latter she filmed her legs standing on her partner’s back and combined them with other sexy parts of the body.

She also recommends combining the foot fetish with other fetishes: One was to incorporate Siophelia (related to food), and one of her most successful videos to date was of her walking barefoot through a picnic.

Her main advice was to “create content that you put some effort into. If you just shoot your girlfriends watching TV and upload a few, you won’t get the financial results you might be hoping for. I started with a lot of content.” This also seems to be a trend across the board, with Fun With Feet stating the importance of a large and diverse profile.

3. Start earning

If you have done your preparation, you can start earning right away. Fun With Feet states that “Whenever a buyer unlocks any of your sexy feet photos or videos, you will receive the money instantly in your Fun With Feet wallet. From there, you can withdraw that money from your wallet directly to your bank account.”

Jenny, however, suggested that we remember to use it as a form of social media. It will take promotion, consistency and quality. He said “be prepared to be a little disappointed at first, this is not an overnight sale. However, it is the start of something very lucrative. It took me a few months to start seeing high results, but it has literally doubled my income.”

She also says: “For that, I’m having a great beach holiday this year…excited to get some beautiful feet in the sand to treat you all to lunch next time.”
